Leaked Images of 'Call Via Skype' Feature On Whatsapp

Users are still waiting on WhatsApp’s voice calling feature which has been in the news for the longest time. Though there have been leaked screenshots explaining the feature, recent reports have suggested that WhatsApp will in fact, integrate ‘Call via Skype’ feature to its app.   According to a report by Maktechblog, the November update of the app had a reference to "Call via Skype" feature. Besides this, there were several other features such as 'Call Hold', 'Call Mute', 'Call Back', 'Call Back Message', 'Call Me in X minutes', 'Call Notifications', and a separate screen for call logs.
The report also mentions a 'Driving Mode' feature, which could either read out messages and calls while the user is driving or work as a 'Do Not Disturb' feature.
The voice calling feature was first announced after the popular mobile messaging service was acquired by Facebook. After confirming the feature, CEO Jan Koum had said that the service had been delayed till Q1 2015. Once this feature is integrated, it will intensify the competition between WhatsApp and other mobile messaging apps like WeChat, Viber and Line, which already allow users to make calls.
