Why there is need of Nokia Smartphone running on Android?

Ask anyone in India what kind of a smartphone they want and the first of answers will comprise of Nokia and Android. It's hard to berate that, when these two combined you'll have one of the most complete products in the modern era (Apple might disagree on that).
Nokia got sold off to Microsoft, thereby becoming Microsoft Devices Group (sans the Nokia branding). So, can they finally build the ever-elusive Android running smartphone that embodies Nokia as a brand? We've been hearing rumors of all sorts for ages but finally the proposition of a Nokia Android phone gets much closer to reality.
The Finnish-company's CEO, Rajeev Suri has vaguely talked up the prospect of Nokia re-entering the smartphone space on its own. And it is really to digest the fact that they would be eyeing the Windows Phone space, rather than try their hands on the open-source centric mobile platform.
Granted, Nokia won't be able to carry forward its own legacy thanks to the patent being mostly owned by Microsoft now but still there's a distinct possibility of them overcoming this obstacle. Reports suggest that the company is entrusting the same team which built the Nokia N9 phone, running on MeeGo platform back then.
We just hope that going forward nightmarish (kind off) devices like the Nokia X series should not be repeated (ever) and one should dare not try to impose the look and feel of Windows Phone (like on the Nokia X platform) on Android. Imagine a Nokia 920 (or 830, 930) kind of devices offering stock Android option and delivering all your favourite Google services like; Play Store, Gmail, YouTube and Maps among others. The thought of which in itself comes across as a daunting yet exciting idea.
If Nokia ever manages to bring out that kind of a phone, would you ditch the likes of Samsung, Apple or Sony and go for your dream device?
